Himalayan
The Himalayan is a slender, cylindrical rabbit breed with a white body and darker points on the ears, nose, feet, and tail. Point color is commonly black, blue, chocolate, or lilac, and the pattern is temperature sensitive, so young kits, cold weather, or clipped areas can affect how strongly color appears. The breed is unrelated to Himalayan cats except by name and pointed appearance; in rabbits it is a long-established breed with its own body type.
Handling and housing need to respect the breed's light frame and point color. Show animals are often protected from staining and sudden temperature changes that can muddy the clean white body or alter point development. The short coat is simple to groom, but the rabbit's shape is less forgiving than a rounded compact breed, so condition and muscling are easy to see. Buyers should look for clear points, straight limbs, good body length, and a calm rabbit that has been handled gently.
