New Forest Pony

The New Forest Pony is a versatile and hardy breed hailing from the New Forest region of southern England. Its origins date back to around 1016, where it evolved from native ponies interbreeding with imported Arabian, Thoroughbred, and draft horse lines, leading to its remarkable adaptability and endurance.

Typically standing between 12 to 14.2 hands high, New Forest Ponies display a handsome and robust conformation with smooth, flowing lines, and can be found in a variety of colors, although pinto patterns are rare. They also feature a dense, weather-resistant coat, perfect for withstanding harsh climates.
