Jersey Giant
The Jersey Giant is a remarkable chicken breed known for its impressive size and gentle disposition. Originating in the United States during the late 19th century, the breed was developed with the intention of creating a heavyweight chicken that could provide an abundant source of meat. Renowned as one of the largest chicken breeds in the world, mature Jersey Giant roosters can weigh up to 13 pounds, while hens typically reach around 10 pounds.
