About Hills Heritage Farm Llc

Hills Heritage Farm is a family-owned regenerative farm located in the mountains of southeastern Kentucky. Our mission is to preserve heritage livestock genetics, produce healthy farm-raised food, and promote responsible stewardship of the land and animals entrusted to our care.

We specialize in carefully selected heritage and registered livestock, including Turkish Boz Shepherds, Great Pyrenees, Dexter cattle, Tunis sheep, Nubian dairy goats, Berkshire and Tamworth hogs, Dominique and Delaware chickens, Bourbon Red and Narragansett turkeys, Indian Runner ducks, and honey bees.

Our livestock are raised on pasture whenever practical and managed using low-stress, stewardship-focused methods. We place a strong emphasis on health, temperament, structural soundness, productivity, and breed preservation. Breeding decisions are made with long-term improvement of each breed in mind rather than short-term production goals.

Our Livestock Guardian Dog program focuses on producing dependable working dogs raised with sheep, goats, poultry, cattle, cats, and children. Puppies are exposed to livestock from an early age and are selected for sound temperament, strong guardian instincts, and suitability for farm environments.

Our sheep, goats, and hogs are selected from respected bloodlines across the United States to build strong breeding programs that benefit both our farm and future customers. We maintain detailed records and continually invest in improving the quality of our livestock.

In addition to livestock, Hills Heritage Farm operates an expanding apiary producing local honey, beeswax products, nucleus colonies, and honey bee education. Through Appalachia Apiary Supply, we also work to support beekeepers throughout the Appalachian region with quality equipment, education, and resources.

Beyond farming, we are committed to education, mentorship, and helping others learn traditional agricultural skills. We believe that responsible animal husbandry, conservation, faith, hard work, and stewardship are essential to preserving rural heritage for future generations.
