Karakul

The Karakul sheep is a distinctive and ancient breed renowned for its adaptability and unique wool, originating from Central Asia, particularly the regions around modern-day Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Afghanistan. The breed is highly characterized by its broad facial structure, with large, pendulous ears and a robust, decadent body suited for harsh environments. The newborn Karakul lambs are particularly famed for their soft, dense coats, known as Astrakhan or Persian lamb fur, which is a highly sought-after in the luxury fashion industry.
