Welsh Cob
The Welsh Cob, a distinguished member of the renowned Welsh Pony and Cob family, is celebrated for its remarkable versatility, strength, and spirited yet gentle nature. Originating from Wales, this breed is well-known for its robust, muscular build, characterized by sturdy legs, a deep chest, and a strong hindquarters, which make it highly suitable for a variety of equestrian disciplines. Standing between 13.2 and 15.2 hands high, the Welsh Cob exhibits a striking presence with its elegant head, intelligent eyes, and often, a flowing mane and tail.
Traditionally used for farming and transportation in rugged terrains, today, these cobs excel in disciplines ranging from dressage and show jumping to driving and endurance riding.
