Long-Leg
Long-leg is a descriptive chicken label rather than a widely fixed breed name. It usually points to birds selected or noticed for a taller stance, longer shanks, and a more rangy outline than ordinary village or backyard chickens. Depending on the source, the term may be attached to local game-influenced stock, utility fowl, or informal strains where leg length is the most visible trait.
Because the name is broad, practical evaluation matters more than the label. Buyers should look at the actual birds, ask what population they come from, and confirm whether long legs are paired with sound movement, balanced bodies, and normal fertility. Tall chickens may need roosts and handling that suit their size, but care otherwise follows ordinary chicken management: safe housing, clean feed and water, parasite control, and breeding away from weak joints or extreme structure.
