Neva Masquerade

The Neva Masquerade is the colorpoint form of the Siberian cat, named for the masked look of its darker face, ears, legs, and tail. It carries the sturdy Siberian body, triple coat, rounded contours, and expressive blue eyes created by the point pattern. Depending on the registry, it may be treated as a Siberian color division or discussed as a related breed variety. Seal, blue, red, cream, tortie, and lynx point patterns can all appear.

Neva Masquerade care is essentially Siberian care with colorpoint considerations. The coat needs seasonal grooming, especially during heavy shedding, and the cat benefits from climbing space and active household engagement. Point color can deepen with age and temperature, so young kittens may look much paler than adults. Breeders should be clear about registry rules, Siberian lineage, and health screening. Claims about low-allergen cats should be made cautiously, because individual human reactions vary even within the same breed.

How Much Does a Cat Cost? (2026)

Picture this: You’re scrolling through adorable kitten photos, your heart melting at those tiny whiskers and bright eyes. You can almost hear the purring. But then reality hits. Kitten Vaccination Schedule: Which Shots, at What Age, and What Comes Next

Most kittens start their core vaccines at 6 to 8 weeks of age, get a booster every 3 to 4 weeks until they are 16 to 20 weeks old, and then get one more booster at about 6 months. On top of that combination shot, a kitten gets a rabies vaccine at the age its […]

How Long Are Cats Pregnant? Cat Gestation Period, Signs, and Due Date

Cats are pregnant for about 63 to 65 days, or roughly nine weeks, counted from mating. The Merck Veterinary Manual gives 60 to 65 days as the usual span, and a large study of more than 1,000 pedigree litters in the UK found an average of 65.1 days (Sparkes and colleagues, 2006). If you know […]

Cat Health Record Template: Visits, Tests, Medicines, and Reminders

A cat health record is a timeline of examinations, tests, vaccinations, medications and changes you observe at home. Start a free cat profile and keep that history with the animal rather than in disconnected messages or photographs. The cat breed index offers context, but a breed label never substitutes for the cat’s own veterinary record. […]

Breeder Waitlist Management: Interest, Decisions, and Clear Expectations

A breeder waitlist works when everyone understands what their place means. Interest in a future animal, acceptance into a program, an offer, and a reservation are separate states. Creatures program applications let you collect future interest without promising an animal or taking a payment; start with the program applications and waitlist guide. AI-generated illustration. How to Check Cat Pedigree Papers: CFA, TICA and Parentage

Before accepting a cat’s pedigree papers, ask which registry issued them, whether the kitten’s identifying details and parents’ registration numbers match the transfer and breeder documents, and whether any DNA claim actually verifies parentage. A registry pedigree, a parentage report and a health test each answer a different question. After checking the papers, the free […]
