Metal Flake is a ball python pattern gene that adds large, flake-like markings, first seen in Piebald lines. It is described by breeders as recessive, so a snake needs two copies to show it; the evidence is the originating breeder's own report.
Ball pythons show Metal Flake only with two copies. One copy makes a het, which looks normal but can pass Metal Flake on.
