Albino
An albino reticulated python is a captive-bred color morph of Python reticulatus, the large Southeast Asian constrictor with a netlike pattern. In albino animals, melanin is absent or greatly reduced, so the normal black and brown pattern becomes yellow, orange, cream, or white, often with red or pink eyes. Reticulated python breeders use albino both as a stand-alone look and as a foundation for combinations with tiger, motley, genetic stripe, goldenchild, and other morphs. It is a color form, not a smaller species; adult size depends much more on locality ancestry, dwarf or super-dwarf influence, sex, and feeding history.
Keeping an albino retic calls for the same planning required for any reticulated python. Secure caging, a steady heat gradient, humid hides or well-managed humidity, and a sensible prey schedule matter more than color. Pale snakes may show stuck shed, rubs, or minor marks clearly, and many keepers provide shaded retreats because albino eyes can be light-sensitive. Buyers should confirm whether the animal is a visual albino, a possible carrier, or part of a documented combo before planning breeding projects.
