Chinese Crested
The Chinese Crested is a delightful and unique toy breed, often instantly recognizable due to its distinctive appearance. Renowned for their adornment of tufts of silky hair called "cresting" on their heads, as well as plume-like tails and fringed feet, these dogs are mostly hairless, which gives them a truly exotic look. There are actually two varieties within the breed: the Hairless, characterized by its bare skin, and the Powderpuff, which is entirely covered in a soft, straight coat. The breed is known for its affectionate and lively personality, forming strong bonds with their families and thriving on companionship. They're surprisingly agile and athletic, making them excellent candidates for agility sports. With a reputation for intelligence, the Chinese Crested excels in learning tricks and enjoys interactive play. While they generally get along well with other pets and are friendly towards strangers, they can be somewhat reserved, preferring familiar faces. Thanks to their minimal grooming needs, especially the hairless variety, they're a relatively low-maintenance option concerning coat care, though they require regular skin care.
