Romanian Cherry-Coloured Highflyer
Romanian cherry-coloured highflyer is a Romanian highflyer variety named for a cherry-toned plumage color. The highflyer part of the name links it to birds traditionally valued for height, endurance, and loft orientation, while the color phrase distinguishes it from barred, blue, silver, or other Romanian flying varieties. Its identity rests on both performance heritage and a specific visual standard.
Flying management should be measured and deliberate. Young highflyers need gradual loft training, reliable trapping, and release conditions that do not punish developing stamina. Breeders select for healthy wings, strong recovery, steady temperament, and the cherry color expected by their standard. In exhibition or preservation lofts, color and type may receive more attention, but the highflyer name still argues for birds that remain athletic and well conditioned.
