Jassy Tumbler

The Jassy tumbler is a regional tumbler pigeon associated with Jassy, an older English rendering of Iași in Romania. It belongs to the broad Eastern European tradition of local tumblers, where compact flying pigeons were selected for aerial action, orientation, and recognizable local type. Outside specialist circles, details may be sparse, so it is best described as a named tumbler strain rather than a generic fancy pigeon.

Keeping Jassy tumblers well means preserving the behavior that made the name useful. Birds should be conditioned carefully, flown from a stable home loft, and selected from families that return reliably after exercise. Exhibition points may matter in some clubs, but a line that has lost sound flight and kit manners may no longer represent the working character implied by the name.
