Botoșani Tumbler
The Botosani Tumbler is a Romanian tumbler pigeon associated with Botosani in northeastern Romania. It belongs to a regional culture of tumblers and rollers where local names often carry specific expectations for head, beak, color, flight, or station. The breed is best understood as a local fancy and performance pigeon rather than a generic tumbler label.
Botosani Tumblers need a loft routine suited to the purpose of the line. If flown, they should be conditioned gradually and selected for safe tumbling, orientation, and willingness to trap. If shown, feather condition, body balance, head type, and markings become central. Breeders should record source families and avoid casual crossing with similar Romanian or Balkan tumblers, because small differences can be important to experienced fanciers.
