Agaran Pigeon
The Agaran pigeon is a Turkmen domestic pigeon associated with pale cream, buff, or yellowish coloration and with Central Asian flying and fancy traditions. It may be kept for highflying performance, ornamental appearance, or both, depending on the local loft culture. The breed name is tied to regional family lines, where color, endurance, and handling around the home loft may all matter.
Agaran pigeons should be managed by keepers who can provide safe flying conditions or a secure aviary if free flight is not practical. Training young birds requires patience, predator awareness, and careful release routines. Breeders should preserve the characteristic color while selecting for health, wing strength, fertility, and the performance expected in their line. Imported or rare stock should be documented because Central Asian pigeon names can be used loosely in trade, and buyers benefit from knowing the breeder, region, and flight expectations behind the birds.
