Bold Stripe
Bold Stripe is a leopard gecko line or morph group selected for strong dark striping instead of the broken spotting seen in many normal-pattern animals. The stripe may run along the back, sides, or tail depending on the line and how the term is being used by a breeder. It is usually discussed as a selectively refined pattern trait, with expression that can change as the gecko matures.
Owners care for Bold Stripe leopard geckos the same way they care for other Eublepharis macularius, watching heat, hydration, calcium intake, and shedding. For breeders, the practical question is how cleanly the stripe holds through growth and what other morphs are in the background. Photographs of parents and siblings are useful, because line-bred pattern traits can be more variable than a simple recessive label suggests.
