Blue Amber Eye, or BAE, is a leopard gecko eye trait described by breeders as recessive, giving a clear eye with blue and amber color that becomes more see-through with age. Its originators report that crosses with Eclipse, Marble Eye and Noir Desir Black Eye all gave normal-eyed babies, so it is treated as a separate gene. Only the originators' records describe it so far.
Leopard geckos show Blue Amber Eye only with two copies. One copy makes a het, which looks normal but can pass Blue Amber Eye on.
