Yorkipoo
A yorkipoo, also written Yorkiepoo or Yorkie-poo, is a companion dog produced by crossing a Yorkshire terrier with a toy or miniature poodle, or by breeding later-generation yorkipoos. It is a hybrid rather than a long-established standardized breed, so size, ear set, coat texture, and color can vary between litters. Many are small lively dogs with a terrier's alertness and some poodle influence in curl or wave; coats may be black and tan, blue and gold, apricot, cream, chocolate, or parti-patterned.
People choose yorkipoos for apartment-friendly size and warm household behavior, but they still need training, socialization, and daily mental activity. Coat care ranges from frequent brushing of a soft wavy coat to professional clipping for curlier dogs, and low-shedding does not mean low-maintenance. Dental care is important in small dogs, and buyers should ask about patellas, eyes, heart health, and health testing in both parent breeds. With no single registry standard, the individual puppy, parents, and breeder transparency matter more than the crossbreed label.
