Martin Cattle Co. has raised purebred Gelbvieh cattle in Judsonia, Arkansas since the early 1990s, when David Martin brought the breed back to the family's White County farm after working with Gelbvieh bulls on a large purebred ranch. The land itself has been in the Martin family since 1920, and the operation was recognized as a 2020 Arkansas Century Farm — a reflection of more than a hundred years of continuous agricultural stewardship in central Arkansas, roughly an hour northeast of Little Rock.

David runs the farm as a family operation alongside his wife Rita and their daughters, keeping the herd size deliberate and manageable rather than scaling for scale's sake. The program centers on seedstock production, with bulls making up the cornerstone of what Martin Cattle Co. offers. Both fall and spring calving schedules allow the farm to have bulls ready across a range of ages throughout the year.

Genetic selection relies on DNA testing and genomics alongside a practical artificial insemination program, with customers consistently ranking calving ease as their top priority — a trait the operation has long emphasized in its Gelbvieh for sale in Arkansas. The farm has also participated in the American Gelbvieh Junior Association national heifer show, using that platform to evaluate its own genetics against other programs rather than as a primary marketing driver. Show animals are drawn from the same herd used in everyday production, not maintained separately.
