Ledahl Taretaise

Ledahl Taretaise raises Tarentaise cattle in Zahl, ND, in northwestern North Dakota near Minot. Brian Ledahl has worked with Tarentaise cattle for more than a decade, keeps his herd registered with national breed associations, and ensures annual veterinary examinations for each animal.

These cattle graze on native mixed grass pastures through spring and summer, and are handled daily to foster calm temperaments. During winter, animals move into spacious barns where calves stay close to adults to promote early social bonding and stress resilience. Ledahl Taretaise emphasizes sustainable rotational grazing practices that support soil health and maintain forage quality.
