Bird's Flying 35

Bird’s Flying 35 is a Tarentaise cattle breeder in Princeton, Idaho, in the Idaho Panhandle near Coeur d’Alene. The Birds are registered members of the American Tarentaise Breeders Association and perform recommended ultrasound and DNA tests to trace coat color, horn genetics and hoof health. Their approach builds on decades of family experience raising Tarentaise cattle in Idaho’s climate. Their herd has been grown on irrigated pasture and is supplemented with alfalfa hay in the winter months.

All cattle have access to open air barns that protect from summer heat and winter snow. Calves are handled daily to support calm temperaments and smooth transitions to new homes. The farm tradition emphasizes low stress handling, seasonal herd rotations and pasture based nutrition to promote hardiness.
