Kevin & Shari Mohl

Kevin and Shari Mohl raise Gelbvieh cattle in Sulphur Springs, Texas, a small agricultural community in Hopkins County about 75 miles east of Dallas. Their operation, run under the K Lazy S Farms name, started as a commercial cow/calf program built around Brangus and F1 cross cattle before the couple pivoted toward registered Gelbvieh production.

The shift came after introducing Gelbvieh bulls into the commercial herd and observing measurable gains in weaning weights alongside noticeably calmer dispositions in the cattle. Those results led Kevin and Shari to sell half of their commercial cowherd and redirect resources toward registered stock. Today the operation runs roughly 100 commercial cows alongside approximately 75 registered cows, giving it a dual-purpose structure that connects seedstock development to a working commercial base.

K Lazy S Farms offers Gelbvieh for sale in Texas with a focus on aged breeding bulls as well as replacement heifers, positioning the program to serve both purebred and commercial producers across the region.
