Ken Ockel

Ken Ockel, Percheron horse breeder in Paragould, AR, serves Northeast Arkansas near Jonesboro. He has been breeding Percheron horses for more than a decade and maintains membership in the American Percheron Horse Association. All stock undergoes regular health screening and hoof care under the guidance of a local equine veterinarian.

Foals are raised on pasture and introduced to halter work at an early age to support gentle socialization. The farm spans fifty acres where horses have daily turnout and are handled by a small, experienced team. Their feeding program is formulated with input from an equine nutritionist to support steady growth. A handful of their Percherons have earned awards at state fairs and returned home to mentor younger foals on the ranch. Many of their horses have gone on to regional shows and are noted for calm temperaments suited to draft work.
