High Place

High Place is a Percheron breeder in Red Banks, MS, north Mississippi near Memphis. Leah Tucker has more than a decade of hands-on experience and holds memberships in national equine associations dedicated to breed preservation. The herd spends daylight hours on well-drained pastures and is introduced to grooming, handling and basic groundwork before weaning. Foals are raised in small family groups to encourage natural social bonds and have access to sheltered loafing areas in cooler months.

Leah hosts seasonal farm visits where prospective owners can observe young horses during turnout and learn about draft horse care. Each foal receives veterinary exam protocols and temperament evaluations as part of a standard health program. Nutrition plans are tailored to each horse’s workload with locally sourced hay and regular pasture rotation. High Place focuses on producing draft horses valued for their steady temperament, sound movement and adaptability for both farm work and community events.
