Glenfiddich Galloways

Glenfiddich Galloways is a traditional Galloway cattle breeder in Ontario, Canada, in the Niagara peninsula near Toronto. Owner John Mcilwraith has raised these cattle for more than a decade and holds membership in the Canadian Galloway Association, applying regular health screenings for calving ease and genetic diversity. The farm dates back three generations, and its layout blends open pasture with sheltered loafing areas and straw bedding. Mineral supplements and fresh water are available at all times, reflecting a balanced approach to nutrition. Grouping by age helps maintain stable social structures while exposure to seasonal weather supports hardiness. Calves remain on-site for full weaning under constant supervision before moving to finishing pastures. Visitors report gentle, curious animals that adapt well to small-scale breeding operations.
