Fladeland Livestock

Fladeland Livestock raises purebred Gelbvieh cattle in Gladmar, Saskatchewan, about 100 miles south of Regina and just north of the Montana border. Wayne, Delyle, and Clint Fladeland operate this family-run program, which carries approximately 300 red and black purebred Gelbvieh and Gelbvieh cross commercial cows.

The operation combines an active embryo transplant and AI program with the purchasing and development of breed-leading sires, keeping the herd at a competitive level within the Canadian Gelbvieh community. Fladeland Livestock has a consistent presence in the show ring, with bulls and females earning banners at Canadian Western Agribition in Regina and the Manitoba Livestock Expo in Brandon, among other venues. Their grand champion bull, Fladeland Hawkeye 2H, claimed the top spot at the national Gelbvieh show, and co-owned animals have reached the winner's circle at the National Western Stock Show in Denver.

The junior generation is actively involved, with younger family members competing in 4-H and showing Gelbvieh cattle at regional events across the prairies.
