Boondocks Irish Wolfhounds - Reg

Boondocks Irish Wolfhounds - Reg, Irish wolfhounds, Nichols, Iowa, is based in eastern Iowa near Davenport. Owned by Jeanie Pitzenberger, it follows breed club guidelines and recommended health testing for cardiac function, elbow dysplasia and coat disorders. Puppies are registered with the American Kennel Club, microchipped and undergo health screening for common breed concerns.

Adults live alongside family in a home setting with regular outdoor exercise on open acreage, and socialization begins alongside children, visiting dogs and routine outings on nearby winding country roads. Boondocks places emphasis on temperament, matching each puppy’s personality, energy level and size requirements to an owner’s lifestyle. Visits are available by appointment to observe the dogs in their everyday surroundings. Several Boondocks dogs have competed in lure coursing events to foster their natural instincts.
