Largh Pah

Largh Pah, run by Ruth Croghan in Sylva, North Carolina, breeds and shows miniature longhair cream dachshunds and Irish wolfhounds in the heart of the western Carolina mountains, not far from Asheville.

Irish wolfhounds have been part of the program for over two decades, and the kennel's wolfhound string has included an AKC champion imported from Germany as well as a rarely seen cream Irish wolfhound. The program also includes a red wheaten male carrying the Largh Pah name, rounding out a multi-generational presence with the breed. Alongside the wolfhounds, the kennel focuses on miniature longhair cream dachshunds — a coat variety and color that requires deliberate, selective breeding.
