Adler Goose
The Adler goose is a Russian domestic goose breed associated with the Adler area near the Black Sea. It is generally described as a white utility goose developed for meat, egg production, and farm practicality rather than ornamental display. Like many regional goose breeds from the former Soviet breeding programs, it reflects selection for body size, reproduction, and the ability to work in ordinary farm conditions.
Adler geese need pasture or yard access, clean bathing water, secure night housing, and feed that supports growth without making breeding birds too heavy. They can fit small farms that want a solid table goose and seasonal eggs, but buyers should confirm the source because the breed is not common everywhere. Flock records for fertility, hatchability, growth, and survivability are especially useful when maintaining a regional breed outside its home area.
