Cappuccino
The cappuccino crested gecko is a recognized captive morph of Correlophus ciliatus associated with coffee-brown, chocolate, or darkened coloration and a particular way of modifying pattern. Unlike broad labels such as dark or cream, cappuccino is generally discussed by breeders as an inheritable morph and is important in combination projects. Depending on the line and the animal's other traits, a cappuccino may look subtly shaded or strongly contrasty, with cream, pinstripe, dalmatian, or other pattern elements layered over the base.
For anyone buying or breeding cappuccino crested geckos, provenance matters more than the name on a sales label. Ask how the animal was identified, whether the parents are documented, and how the breeder represents the genetics because similar-looking dark geckos are not necessarily cappuccino. Day-to-day care remains standard for the species: avoid excessive heat, provide a humid but well-ventilated arboreal enclosure, and feed a balanced commercial crested gecko diet. Breeding females should be mature and well-conditioned before producing clutches.
