Diffused is a recessive corn snake gene that clears the belly checkers, softens the side pattern and removes the dark borders of the saddles. A snake needs two copies to show it. Selectively bred, intensely red Diffused snakes are sold as Bloodred, and Diffused is part of Fire, Plasma, Pewter and Granite.
Corn snakes show Diffused only with two copies. One copy makes a het, which looks normal but can pass Diffused on.
