Leopard

A leopard boa constrictor is a recessive morph associated with a darker, busier pattern than many normal boas. Visual leopards often show heavy lateral spotting, disrupted saddles, and a shadowed background that can become richer as the snake matures. The name describes the spotted impression rather than a separate species or locality, and the trait is used in projects where breeders want a denser, more graphic pattern.

Leopard boas need the same long-term planning as other boa constrictors: adult enclosure space, dependable heat control, and careful feeding are more important than early color. Breeders must track hets honestly because recessive traits can hide for generations when only one copy is present. Pairing information helps buyers understand whether a normal-looking animal is simply possible het leopard or whether a visual leopard is also carrying hypo, albino, anery, or other project genes.
