Yarrow Creek Goldens

Yarrow Creek Goldens raises AKC-registered golden retrievers in Ackley, Iowa, a small community in the north-central part of the state roughly an hour northeast of Waterloo. The program operates on a small scale with a focus on producing family dogs.

Breeding females are not bred on every heat cycle, giving each dog a resting period between litters so the dogs spend the majority of their time simply as household pets. Puppies are handled daily from birth, and the program incorporates Early Neurological Stimulation and Early Scent Introduction in the first weeks of life. Over the course of their first two months, pups are gradually introduced to a variety of sounds, sights, and experiences to support early development before going to their homes.
