Winding Creek Alpaca Farm

Winding Creek Alpaca Farm raises huacaya alpacas in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, in the southern part of the state not far from Atlantic City. Mike Fischer started the farm in 2013, originally operating out of Southampton, NJ before moving the herd to its current location.

The farm's herd is drawn from bloodlines described as among the finest in the country, with a long-term focus on building a foundation herd that offers diverse genetics. Raising animals with good temperaments and a genuine ease around people has been a consistent priority for the program. Alongside alpacas, the farm also keeps mini donkeys as part of its animal roster.

Public education is a meaningful part of what Winding Creek does — farm tours and a farm store stocked with alpaca fiber goods are part of the on-site experience.
