Whistling Winds Retrievers, Chesapeake Bay retrievers, golden retrievers and labrador retrievers, Oxford, WI serves Dodge County near Madison. Its breeding program has been active for over fifteen years with membership in the American Kennel Club and the Chesapeake Bay Retriever Club, and it adheres to hip, elbow and cardiac health testing protocols.

The dogs live indoors with their family and have daily access to fenced pastures and wooded trails for supervised exploration and early socialization. Melissa Grieser follows positive reinforcement training and works with litters on basic obedience and water skills from eight weeks of age.

Many of their retrievers come from titled hunting and obedience lines, and some have been entered in regional hunt tests and companion events. Several adults visit long-term care facilities for animal-assisted visits, reflecting a commitment to community well-being.
