Vernon R. Miller breeds Percheron horses in Millersburg, OH, Holmes County and the Amish Country near Cleveland. Miller has been working with Percherons for more than a decade and is active in the Percheron Horse Association, ensuring each animal receives regular veterinary exams and health testing. Horses complete genetic assessments for hereditary traits and regular farrier visits support proper hoof health.

Miller’s Percherons graze on rotational pasture and have access to open shelter, with daily handling introduced early to encourage calm temperaments and flexible training. A balanced feeding program, tailored to the breed’s draft heritage, and careful foal supervision are cornerstones of the farm’s approach. Several of Miller’s broodmares and foals have placed in regional shows, and the farm maintains a tradition of attentive husbandry passed down through the family.

Known for their steady disposition and strength, these Percherons adapt to farm work, driving and leisure riding with consistent willingness. Stalls are cleaned twice daily and turnout paddocks are refreshed regularly to promote healthy coats and joints year-round.
