Tylona Russian Blues
Tylona Russian Blues, operated by Barbara and Tim Schreck in Milan, Michigan, has been breeding Russian blues since 1981, making it one of the longer-running catteries of its kind in the Great Lakes region, about an hour southwest of Detroit.
The cattery entered the CFA show ring the same year it was founded and has developed lines that have produced CFA Grand Champions as well as national and regional award winners. Cats bred at Tylona have gone on to earn titles in other catteries across the country and internationally, reflecting the consistent quality associated with the program over more than four decades.
Health is part of the foundation: cats are maintained as FeLV negative, and the program has long operated within the CFA framework, which sets breed standards and promotes responsible husbandry. For anyone searching for Russian blue kittens in Michigan with a deep show pedigree behind them, Tylona represents one of the state's most established breeding programs in the breed.
