Susan Deckelman

Susan Deckelman raises Percheron horses in Sylvania, OH, in northwest Ohio near Toledo. She has been involved with Percheron breeding for more than a decade and follows National Percheron Horse Association guidelines for conformation and health screening. Her herd includes mares and stallions chosen for conformation and reliable temperaments.

Her mares and foals are housed in spacious stalls with daily turnout on lush pastures, where social interaction and gentle handling begin at birth. Feed programs are tailored to each horse’s developmental stage, focusing on balanced minerals and ample forage. All horses receive regular veterinary checkups, farrier care, and conditioning suited to draft work and carriage driving.
