Sugar Creek

Sugar Creek is a Percheron breeder in Elmore, Ohio, serving Sandusky County and the Lake Erie region near Toledo. Walter T. Davis and Sandra Davis have been breeding these draft horses for over a decade and maintain membership in the Percheron Horse Association of America.

All horses undergo regular veterinary checks, annual vaccinations and soundness exams to ensure strong conformations and reliable dispositions. Foals are raised in pasture-based settings and handled daily, fostering calm temperaments and early socialization with family and neighboring livestock. Their draft horses have placed at county fairs and local draft horse shows, reflecting a balance of power and gentle training.

Stalls feature straw bedding and free access to clean water, while turnout paddocks are rotated to promote healthy pastures and reduce stress. The farm sits on land that has hosted generations of farming families, lending a sense of rooted tradition to the breeding program.
