Scioneaux Legacy Farms

Scioneaux Legacy Farms, Shorthorn cattle, Vacherie, LA, in St. James Parish and the New Orleans area. Jason Scioneaux has bred Shorthorn cattle for several years and is a member of the American Shorthorn Association and other national registry organizations.

Its cattle are raised on several acres of mixed grass pasture with a focus on gentle handling and early socialization to support temperament and overall health. The farm offers year round grazing and provides shelter in sturdy barns during colder months. Feeding combines locally sourced hay with balanced grain mixes tailored to different growth stages. Scioneaux Legacy Farms follows established health protocols, including routine vaccinations and regular veterinary checks.

The farm has participated in local livestock shows and local feedback highlights the calm temperament and sturdy build of their calves. Several of the breeding cows trace back to champion bloodlines known for durability and milk production.
