Rowan Tree Farm

Rowan Tree Farm raises Pygora goats in Abilene, Kansas, serving Dickinson County and the Flint Hills near Salina. Collen and Michael McGee have more than a decade of experience, are members of the American Goat Society, and health-screen each doe for fleece quality.

They raise the goats on pasture with access to clean barns and focus on early socialization to ensure friendly, well-adjusted kids. Several of their Pygora goats have earned championship ribbons at regional fairs, and some offspring have entered fiber shows. Their family-run farm spans 50 acres of rolling pasture where rotational grazing and mineral supplementation support healthy herds.

Prospective owners appreciate the detailed care notes provided with each kid, reflecting the breeders’ commitment to ongoing support. They perform regular CAE and caseous lymphadenitis testing to maintain herd health. Kids are handled daily from birth and introduced to various environments to build confidence.
