Rancho Chapopote S. De P.R. De RL

Rancho Chapopote has been raising Brahman cattle in the coastal lowlands of Veracruz, Mexico since 1945, making it one of the longer-established programs in the region. Founded by the Sanchez family and now operated by Enrique Sanchez, the ranch is situated near Tamiahua, along the Gulf Coast roughly two hours north of the port city of Tuxpan.

The program centers on purebred Brahman genetics developed through a combination of natural service, artificial insemination, and embryo transfer using the ranch's own national champion bloodlines. Bulls and semen from J.D. Hudgins in the United States have also been incorporated into the breeding program, reflecting a long-standing connection to American Brahman seedstock. Both bulls and females are produced from full siblings of national champions, with the herd managed to supply breeding-quality animals for operations of varying scale.

Those looking for Brahman cattle in Veracruz with documented genetics tied to national show results will find that Rancho Chapopote draws from decades of continuous selection in the tropical cattle country of Mexico's Huasteca region.
