Production F.A.T. S.E.N.C. raises Limousin cattle on a family farm in Esprit-Saint, Quebec, in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region roughly an hour east of Rimouski. Owner Alain Turcotte, a graduate in zootechnology and agricultural business management from the ITA de La Pocatière, founded the operation in 1992 alongside his brother Francis, starting with a small number of animals integrated into their father Roger's existing herd.

The farm has grown steadily over the decades into a vertically integrated Limousin cattle operation. Animals are raised outdoors year-round, free to move across the farm's pastures in all seasons, and calves are fed on their mother's milk along with quality hay and grass.
