Point and Flush Gun Dogs is a small kennel in Potosi, Wisconsin, bred around a focus on upland bird and waterfowl hunting dogs. Kate Koester, a certified veterinary technician with roughly 30 years of experience in animal health, manages the breeding program, bringing a strong foundation of medical knowledge to the care and wellbeing of every dog on the property.

An AKC registered operation with more than 25 years of breeding history behind it, the kennel raises German shorthaired pointers, German wirehaired pointers, English setters, and Labrador retrievers — four of the most sought-after gun dog breeds in Wisconsin. Potosi sits in the southwest corner of the state along the Mississippi River, roughly an hour south of Dubuque, Iowa, putting the kennel within reach of prime upland and waterfowl country.

Each dog is trained individually to bring out its natural strengths, and all kennels offer indoor and outdoor runs. The program also includes certified trainers with over 30 years of combined experience, and the kennel offers boarding and training services alongside its breeding work. Dogs-in-training have been taken to youth hunts to introduce younger generations to pheasant hunting, and the operation works with conservation-minded organizations to support pheasant population efforts in the region.
