Old Springs Katahdins

Old Springs Katahdins are breeders of Katahdin sheep in Greensburg, KY in south-central Kentucky near Louisville. They have been raising and refining Katahdin genetics for more than a decade through membership in national and regional sheep breeder associations, and they follow routine health testing for parasite resistance and hoof evaluation.

Their flock rotates through carefully managed pastures where lambs grow up within sight of family members and pets to encourage calm temperaments. The farm traces its roots to a small homestead and retains a hands-on approach to feeding and shelter, combining decades of breeding experience with attention to natural forage and shelter needs. Ewes are selected for maternal instincts and lambing ease, making them well suited to small-scale and homestead flocks.
