Muddy W Cattle Company raises registered Gelbvieh and Balancer cattle on a family farm in Hubbard, Ohio, in the Shenandoah Valley of northeastern Ohio, roughly 15 miles from Youngstown. Paul Wetzl and his wife Karlene took over the operation in 2003, inheriting a farm that first began in 1957. After assuming ownership, they set to work reclaiming overgrown land and converting it into productive pasture.

The program's focus is on producing quality seedstock in the Gelbvieh breed, with registered bulls among the cattle developed on the property. Buyers seeking Gelbvieh cattle in Ohio have found animals from this multi-generational farm placed across northeastern Ohio, northwestern Pennsylvania, western Pennsylvania, and beyond.
