Merle A. Miller

Merle A. Miller raises Percheron horses in Navarre, OH, serving Stark County and the Akron area. With more than a decade of breeding experience under American Percheron Horse Association standards, Miller ensures all horses undergo regular health screenings and conformational assessments.

Foals spend their first months in pasture environments, where they receive daily turnout alongside adult stock and gentle groundwork to foster calm temperaments. The barn features a loose stall design to promote natural movement and social interaction. Rotational grazing practices and up-to-date nutrition plans help maintain year-round herd health and pasture quality.

Visiting farriers and equine massage therapists work with the herd to support soundness and mobility. Miller holds membership in the Ohio Equine Breeders Association and follows recommended vaccination and dental care schedules. Several retired broodmares remain on the farm, offering continuity and maternal social structure for new arrivals.
