Marvin Hershberger

Marvin Hershberger, Percherons, Goshen, IN, Elkhart County and the Michiana region near South Bend. He has worked with Percheron horses for more than a decade and holds membership in the Percheron Horse Association of America while following breed-specific health protocols. Annual evaluations include up-to-date vaccinations, scheduled deworming, and routine farrier visits to ensure each horse meets industry standards.

His farm operates on a family-managed parcel where animals enjoy large paddocks, straw-bedded stalls, and daily human interaction. Foals are handled from birth to build confidence and social skills before group turnout. Several of his Percherons have been selected for light draft demonstrations at county gatherings, reflecting their steady temperament and physical conditioning.

He follows a rotational grazing plan to maintain pasture quality and provides a balanced ration of hay and grains formulated for draft breeds. Local equine professionals are regularly consulted to support hoof care, dental checks, and nutritional adjustments.
