Mark Holeman

Mark Holeman breeds Percheron horses in Preston, CT, New London County and southeastern Connecticut near Providence. He has nurtured draft bloodlines for more than a decade with membership in national Percheron associations and regular participation in registry events and symposiums. Routine health screenings include annual veterinary examinations, farrier visits every six weeks, and detailed records of conformation and growth.

Foals are born on pasture with daily turnout alongside mares to encourage natural socialization and sturdy development. Gentle handling from day one and training sessions in a quiet barn environment help them adapt smoothly to harness work or recreational riding. The family farm’s rolling fields and dedicated tie-out paddocks offer a balanced setting for pasture life, grooming, and light draft demonstrations. Several alumni have gone on to local county fairs, community exhibitions, and therapy programs, a testament to the gentle temperament and versatility emphasized at the farm.
