Maple Stone Farm raises shorthorn cattle in East Garafraxa, Ontario, a rural township in Wellington County roughly an hour northwest of Toronto. The farm has been part of the local agricultural landscape since Robert Ridler purchased the property in 1998.

Robert, known as Bob, came to shorthorn cattle around 2011 after an earlier chapter of active Clydesdale breeding and showing. Bob later expanded into purebred Simmental cattle as well, reflecting a continued interest in registered beef breeds.
